Filipino Fruit Market

Filipino Fruit Market contains two original trick taking games: Tindahan and Bastos!.    Tindahan is a combination of an area control and trick taking mechanics for 3-5 players and Bastos! combines market manipulation and trick taking for 3-4 players.

I first learned of this game by reading this
review on BGG.  Interestingly Filipino Fruit Market was from Peer Sylvester whose game King of Siam was a prime inspiration of Triumvirate.  I had already sent Peer a copy of my game in thanks for his inspiration, and asked him what the options were for publishing Filipino Fruit Market.  Peer referred me to Gunter Cornett at Bambus Spieleverlag.  Gunter and I were discussing options for me to release this game to the Americas and Asia while I was attending BGG Con.  There I had the chance to play the games and here unsolicted feedback that this game worked well for as a "gamer's game" and appealed to those that liked more traditional card games.  Tindahan in particular is a very good trick taking game for 5, which is often a difficult number to work for the genre.

I am very excited that Gunter and I came to an agreement to have Indie Boards and Cards release the game.
